Annual Events

Gators Rugby holds two main annual events: Fall Family Weekend, held September 11–13, 2026, and Alumni Weekend, scheduled for January 15–17, 2027. Both bring current players, alumni and families together, and University of Florida Rugby Alumni Association members receive invitations to each.

Fall Family Weekend is an annual Gators Rugby event bringing players, alumni and families together in Gainesville around fall fixtures. The first was held September 11–13, 2026.

Gators Rugby Alumni Weekend is scheduled for January 15–17, 2027 in Gainesville. Details and RSVP are available on gatorsrugby.com, and University of Florida Rugby Alumni Association members receive a direct invitation.

Gators Rugby events run across the University of Florida campus and at UF Rugby Haven, 6892 SW 96th Street, Hampton, FL, which hosts lake day and other gatherings during the Family Fall Festival weekend.

The Family Fall Festival is built for recruits and their parents, alumni, the current teams, and boosters. It is designed to work whether you played in 1975 or are still deciding where to go to school.

UF Rugby Haven is at 6892 SW 96th Street, Hampton, FL, and hosts Friday and most of Saturday morning of the Family Fall Festival, including Lake Day.

Yes, and Friday is built for exactly that. The 5:00pm clinic and scrimmage is a hands-on session for parents and recruits where the game is explained as it is played. Come to that first and Saturday makes sense.

Yes. Friday's Lake Day runs from 10:00am with tubing, kayaking, paddleboarding, boating, sunset cruises and a BBQ, and Sunday closes with a touch rugby pickup game anyone can join.

The tailgate is on Union Road near Criser Hall on the University of Florida campus. Parking is first come, so arrive early, and look for the Gators Rugby tents.
