Board Spotlight: George Luttrell, the Man Who Writes It All Down
First in a series on the people who serve on the UFRAA board. George Luttrell has been Board Secretary through 278 numbered, dated documents in six years — 125 bulletins, 87 conference notes, 28 emails. The First Annual Fall Family Weekend was a Success
The inaugural Fall Family Weekend ran September 11-13, on ground an alumnus opened up for it. Three days built so the alumni who fund this club could actually know the players and their families, and so anyone curious about the game could see how deep the rugby community runs. Lake day, a clinic, a tailgate, and The Swamp. It runs again next fall. Go Gators.

Orange and Blue Through and Through: Remembering Steve Cieplinski
Steve Cieplinski passed ad astra in Ocala on Wednesday, September 9. A Gators rugger since about 1970 and a Florida Old Boy until the end, Steve was loyal to the orange and blue to a fault, right down to the car he drove. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 19 in Ocala. Raise a glass.

Three Gators Take the First Step Into Coaching
Three Gators take the first step into coaching. Ruben, Roman, and Hugh have earned USA Rugby Level 1 certification. Three upperclassmen learning the coaching side under Coach Martin, Ken, and Jason while they still have boots on. Level 1 covers the safe teaching of contact, session planning, and risk management. It is also how a player becomes someone who stays in the game. Congratulations to all three. Go Gators. 🐊
